Grammy Award winner Ronnie Milsap will perform two shows instead of one next week at Isle Casino Cape Girardeau.

Originally slated to perform once at 7 p.m. Feb. 16, a second show was added that evening because of high demand.

"Ticket sales are going great," Kyle Lee, director of marketing operations at the casino, said in an email. "The first show basically sold out in less than a week, so we reached out to see if there was an opportunity to add a second show."

The second show is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.

Throughout his career, Milsap has garnered six Grammy wins and 40 No. 1 country hits, which is behind only George Strait and Conway Twitty. He rose to popularity by infusing his country music with pop and rock 'n' roll, becoming one of the most versatile crossover artists in the genre.

Some of his biggest hits include "It Was Almost Like a Song," "(There's) No Getting Over Me" and "A Woman in Love." His newest album, "Summer Number Seventeen," is scheduled to be released March 18.
