Best Bet: Uptown Jackson to host annual Oktoberfest

Uptown Jackson will host its annual Oktoberfest from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday in uptown Jackson. There will be no admission charge for the event. There will be sidewalk painting, a pet parade and various other family-friendly activities. There also will be German food vendors and craft vendors, as well as a wine garden and craft beer available. Live music will be provided by Pat Schwent and her German Brass Band, duo Makenna and Brock and the band Outside the Lines.
