Prodigy Leadership Academy will host its annual carnival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday near Red Star Baptist Church, 1301 N. Main St. in Cape Girardeau. The carnival will have an array of live music acts, including Wil Maring and Robert Bowling, The Brothers Walker, the Southeast Missouri State University Steel Drum Band and Westward Sons. The event is free and open to the public. Concessions, including barbecue, hot dogs, snow cones and more, will be available, starting at 50 cents. Activities and games, including a sack race, bounce house, dunking booth and so on, will be available and cost up to $2. There will be drawings throughout the event, as well as a silent auction.
