Best Bet: Mountain Sprout

Mountain Sprout will perform what it calls "psychobilly, mountaineer, bluegrass-abilly insurgent Americana" at 8 p.m. today at Pitter's Cafe and Lounge, 811 Broadway in Cape Girardeau. The Big Idea and Not Carl also will play. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m. There is an $8 cover charge; only those 21 and older will be admitted. The full-time band includes Grayson Klauber, banjo; guitarists Adam Waggs and Ratliffe Dean Thiebaud; Daniel Redmond on bass; and Mike Schembre on fiddle.
