The German heritage in Southeast Missouri can congregate at Hunter Valley Winery any weekend in October for the business' Oktoberfest. Each weekend, the winery will host a band Saturday and Sunday, cook brats and "typical Oktoberfest foods" like potato salad and sauerkraut, according to co-owner Lea Anne Casteel. This weekend, the winery has Acklen with Casey Benefield Saturday and the Dave Wiant Duo on Sunday. Later in the month, they'll welcome Shades of Blue, Vintage and the Fabulous Moore Brothers among others. Festivities start at 2:30 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday of October at the winery at 762 Route V in Cape Girardeau, just off Highway 177. Call 332-0879 for more information.
