Best Bet: Biehle Picnic

St. Maurus Catholic Church will host the annual Biehle Picnic from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, 10198 Route B in Biehle, Missouri, about 25 miles north of Cape Girardeau. A buffet-style all-you-can-eat meal, served from 3 to 7 p.m., will include fried chicken, dressing, kettle-cooked beef and more. Cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children 6 to 11 years old; there is no charge for those younger than 6. Carryouts are available. A lunch stand will serve hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken strips and french fries. The Rev. Jim French will celebrate Mass at 4 p.m. The day's activities will include bingo, games, face painting and more. The Cairns Sounds will entertain from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
