The comedic musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie," the story of a small-town girl who comes to New York City to "make it big" in 1922, will be presented at 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday in the Richard D. Kinder Performance Hall at Cape Central High School. Based on the 1967 movie that starred Julie Andrews as Millie Dilmount, the story was adapted for the Broadway stage in 2002 and won the Drama Desk award for Outstanding Musical and the Tony award for Best Musical. Emily Hagan, a senior at Cape Central, portrays Millie Dilmount and Zach Reece, a junior, plays Jimmy Smith, Millie's love interest. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
