John H. Pratt, a graduate of Central High School and Southeast Missouri State Univeristy, has published a book called "Walking the Camino in an Age of Anxiety: The Search for the Medieval Pilgrim." The book looks at historical pilgrimage roads in Europe and a personal journey over that road in modern times.

Pratt currently lives in Tumwater, Wash. The book is available at Amazon.com.

George C. Suggs Jr., "The Moonshiner and Other Stories"

Retired Southeast Missouri State University professor George Suggs Jr. has authored another book about small-town living, this time during the Great Depression in North Carolina.

The book, "The Moonshiner and Other Stories," tells 13 stories that are really about the human spirit. The book is available at www2.xlibris.com and Barnes and Noble.

Suggs will have a booksigning Saturday at Barnes and Noble in West Park Mall.

Stan Crader, "The Bridge"

Marble Hill, Mo., resident Stand Crader has written a book that looks at rural America in the summer of 1967 trough the eyes of a young boy in "The Bridge."

The book deals with the typical trials of adolescence -- bullies and girls -- but includes a Christian theme.
