'Kids in America'

Starring Gregory Smith, Stephanie Sherrin and Chris Morris. Principal Weller is a tyrant who rules Booker High School with an iron fist. When she starts suspending students right and left for doing such things as kissing in the hallway and passing out condoms, brainy student Holden decides to make a documentary chronicling the experiences of the oppressed student body. 'North Country'

Starring Charlize Theron, Frances McDormand and Sean Bean. After her marriage hits the skids, Josey Aimes returns to her North Minnesota hometown and takes a job at a local mine where she's subject to nonstop sexual harassment from her male co-workers. Despite the risk of losing her job, Josey decides to put a stop to it by filing a lawsuit. 'Stay'

Starring Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts and Ryan Gosling. A psychologist at an elite East Coast university tries to prevent the suicide of one of his patients, who keeps seeing dead people and successfully predicting the future. Starring Steve Carell, Catherine Keener and Paul Rudd. Andy Stitzer, age 40, hasn't had sex. Ever. His co-workers try to help him out, but nothing works. But then Andy meets Trish, a 40-year-old single mother of three. Andy's buddies think "it" may finally happen, until they learn that Andy and Trish's relationship is based on a firm "no sex" policy. 'Corpse Bride'

Starring the voices of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Emily Watson. In this Tim Burton animated film, Victor, a villager in a small 19th-century European town, is taken to the underworld to marry a corpse bride. Surprisingly, the afterlife isn't that disagreeable, and it's a lot more exciting than his strict Victorian society. 'Domino'

Starring Keira Knightley, Mena Suvari and Christopher Walken. Domino Harvey, a former model and the daughter of actor Laurence Harvey, leaves her life of luxury in Beverly Hills to become a bounty hunter. She spends the next three years firing off countless rounds of ammo in south Los Angeles. 'Dreamer'

Starring Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning and Kris Kristofferson. Ben Crane was once a great horseman, but now he bides his time training the horses of rich businessmen. Sonya was a great horse whose career was suddenly cut short by a broken leg. Considered as good as dead by her owner, who also happens to be Ben's boss, Sonya is given to Ben as severance pay. 'Elizabethtown'

'The Fog'

Starring Tom Welling, Maggie Grace and Selma Blair. A century in the past, off the coast of Northern California, a horrible shipwreck that might have involved foul play killed a crew of sailors. Now, their ghosts are back for revenge, traveling in the form of an eerie fog. That's bad news for the residents of a small town. Rated PG-13 for violence and disturbing images, running time 100 minutes. (Cape West Cine)

'Flightplan'

Starring Jodie Foster, Peter Sarsgaard and Erika Christensen. Airplane designer Kyle Pratt takes her daughter, Julia, on board a state-of-the-art 474 aircraft to fly from Berlin to New York. In the middle of the nonstop flight, Julia seemingly disappears without a trace, and the crew claim the girl never boarded the plane at takeoff. 'The Gospel'

Starring Clifton Powell, Yolanda Adams and Dwayne Boyd. Fusing the music of popular gospel singers with a plot based on the parable of the prodigal son, this drama explores the workaday lives of a group of churchgoers. 'Greatest Game Ever Played'

'A History of Violence'

Starring Viggo Mortensen, Maria Bello and Ed Harris. Tom works at a diner in a small town with his wife, Edie. Their peaceful lives are interrupted when Tom thwarts an attempted robbery and becomes a local hero. After seeing him on TV, a couple of mobsters show up on the scene, pegging Tom as a guy who's wronged them in the past.
