The River City Players will hold auditions for the last show of the season -- Crane Johnson's "Dracula" -- at 1 p.m. Sunday at Port Cape Girardeau. The show consists of three male and three female roles, with a seventh role to be played by either one. No preparations are necessary for the tryouts, as they will feature cold readings. "Dracula" will be staged by the River City Players on Nov. 6 to 9.
Robert Conger will perform in a solo trombone recital, with Matt Yount accompanying on piano, on at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Shuck Music Recital Hall at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus. Conger, a Southeast professor of music, will play works adapted for the trombone in the first half of the program and works intended for the trombone in the second half. Tickets are available at the River Campus box office in the Cultural Arts Center, 518 S. Fountain St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays by calling 651-2265 or online at RiverCampusEvents.com.
