Family shows coming to the Show Me Center

Tickets for two family shows went on sale Monday and Tuesday. Nickelodeon's "The Backyardigans Live! Tale of the Mighty Knights" will be at the Show Me Center for one show Sept. 25. "Disney Live! Winnie the Pooh" will be at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Show Me Center. Tickets for either event are available at the Show Me Center ticket office, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone at 651-5000 and online at www.showmecenter.biz.

Watch party planned for 'America's Got Talent'

Southeast Missouri State University has planned a community-wide watch party in the University Center for the Tuesday airing of "America's Got Talent." Viewers will be provided with refreshments and computers will be available for voting. The show airs from 7 to 9 p.m.

Rhythm troop comes to Paducah's Carson Center

PADUCAH, Ky. — STOMP, the choreographed percussion show, uses everything but conventional percussion instruments — trash cans, tea chests, plastic bags, plungers, boots, and hubcaps. Tickets go on sale Monday. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10, and 4 and 8 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Carson Center in Paducah. Tickets range from $26 to $50, and can be purchased at the Carson Center box office 270-450-4444, online at www.thecarsoncenter.org or by logging on to www.stomponline.com.

The river turns chilling tales in October

The Cape Girardeau Ghost Storytelling is scheduled for 7 to 9:15 p.m. Oct. 10. Dan Keding and Lyn Ford present an evening of chilling tales on the River Campus.
