Jimmy Daddy Davis will perform a concert at 7 p.m. Saturday for Underberg House Concerts, 1122 Patricia St. in Cape Girardeau. A donation of $10 is suggested, and proceeds will go to the artist. A talent show will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Mayfield Cultural Center, 209 Mayfield Drive in Marble Hill, Missouri. Performers will include Brookelynn Shell of Marble Hill; Cathy Waggoner of Segdewickville, Missouri; John and Sandy Smith and Wendell Johnson of Patton, Missouri; Ray "Frog" Mills of Marquand, Missouri; and Paul Brown and Mike and Donna Kasten of Jackson. Denny Ward will be the master of ceremonies. Once all acts have performed, the audience will decide who will return for a second-round event Sept. 17. A second group of performers will present their acts from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 27 to vie for a position in the second-round event. There will be an admission charge for those 12 and older. A free concert featuring the quartet Gold City will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at Trinity Assembly of God, 27186 Highway 3 in Olive Branch, Illinois. A voluntary offering will be taken.
Fellowship Baptist Church will host a concert featuring Allegiance Trio, with special guest Geff Sloter, from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church, 430 Koch Ave. in Cape Girardeau. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the concert is free and open to the public.
