Calm the Shores will have a release show for its album "Life of Mine" at 7 p.m. today at the Jackson Civic Center, 381 E. Deerwood Drive in Jackson. The concert also will feature local bands Glorious Than I and Neither of Me. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $5. Patrick Rafferty concert scheduled

Patrick Rafferty will perform at 7:30 p.m. today at Cup 'n' Cork, 11 S. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau. Rafferty is a guitarist and faculty member at Southeast Missouri State University and Webster Community Music School. He will perform some well-known songs as well as his own original compositions. Chuck Crain to present concert

Chuck Crain of the Presley's Country Jubilee Show and RFD TV in Branson, Missouri, will present a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Scott City Park, 700 Ruth St. in Scott City. A children's pool party will be held simultaneously at the Scott City Park pool. The concert is sponsored by Illmo Baptist Church in Scott City. For more information, call (573) 264-4725. The concert is open to the public, and an offering will be taken. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
