Perry County Community Rodeo kicks off today

The Fourth Annual Perry County Community Rodeo in Altenburg, Mo., begins at 6:30 p.m. today and Saturday. It will feature saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, calf roping and more, plus appearances by Miss Rodeo USA, rodeo clown H.P. Wright and the band Third Degree. Cape Girardeau gospel group at Lake Wappapello

The Rivermen Gospel Quartet will perform at the Lake Wappapello Outdoor Theater at 6:30 p.m. today. Also appearing will be Jerry Wheeling and Friends. River City Players to hold open auditions

The ninth annual Oran Car Show takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Tilles Memorial City Park on Greer Street in Oran. Mo.
