Historic sites open for limited hours
The Red House Interpretive Center has events planned each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in May. Full operating hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, May 19 to Sept. 6. The Glenn House Historic home is open 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The regular season hours will be 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday May 19 to Sept. 6. The Cape River Heritage Museum has weekend events planned throughout the summer. Regular museum hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday starting May 19. For more information, call the Convention and Visitors Bureau at 335-1631.
Art gallery celebrates anniversary
WESTRAY, hosting the Cat Ranch Art Guild, will celebrate its two year anniversary with a special reception from noon to 7 p.m. Friday. Featured artist and gallery owner Dr. Joel Ray will exhibit a special photography exhibition titled "Images of East Perry County."
Juried show open to artists across U.S.
The annual Girardot National Juried Exhibition at the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri is accepting work from artists 18 or older, living in the United States. Call 334-9233 for more information.
Sikeston Little Theatre update
The Sikeston Little Theatre 50th anniversary concert will feature an on-stage orchestra and chorus of 60 presenting Andrew Lloyd Webber songs, including "Music of the Night," "All I Ask of You," and "Memory" May 28 to 31.
