'Last Chance' showcases student dancers

The talents of Southeast Missouri State University students will be on display at the Theatre and Dance Second Stage Series event "Last Chance to Dance" at 7:30 p.m. May 10 and 11 in the Bedell Performance Hall at Southeast's River Campus. A variety of styles will be featured in this last dance performance of the school year, including hip-hop, contemporary, ballet and jazz. The dances were choreographed by the students, who will dance in the pieces as well. "Last Chance to Dance" is free and open to the public. Some pieces may contain adult content.

Theater students present one-act plays

As a culmination of their "Directing II" projects, theater students at Southeast Missouri State University will present a series of one-act plays May 11 through 13 at the River Campus Center Directing Studio. The shows will begin at 7:30 each night, and each evening will feature three one-act plays. Student directors have selected their pieces from a variety of material and have auditioned actors and prepared the shows for presentation to the public. The plays may contain adult content. They are free and open to the public.

Faculty art on exhibit at Crisp Museum

The "Biennial Faculty Exhibition," which features artwork created by faculty members of Southeast Missouri State University's Department of Art, will open today in the Crisp Museum at the River Campus. A public reception will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today. The exhibit will be displayed through June 21. For more information, call 651-2260 or email museum@semo.edu.
