Volunteer artists sought for FunStop

Two artists are wanted to provide talents at our fundraising event. FunStop-Kids Helping Kids is a children-led fundraiser with proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club. FunStop started with a group of children wanting to do something to help give back to students who needed school supplies. Since then FunStop is filing as a not-for-profit to provide more children-led fundraisers, family service projects and leadership development. The next fundraising event will be from 8 a.m. to noon May 17 at Bel Air Grill, 24 S. Spanish St. FunStop will have food, drinks, games, giveaways, a balloon artist, face painters and a caricaturist. All food and activities will be provided for a fee, with proceeds to help the Boys & Girls Club scholarship fund for summer camp. Sneak Peek Soiree set at Glenn House

See a preview of the Glen House's newly refurbished second floor and a presentation of the Friend of the Glenn House award -- with hor d'oeuvres, wine and music -- from 6 to 9 p.m. April 26. Tickets are $25, available at the Convention & Visitors Bureau, by emailing info@glennhouse.org or calling 579-3290. Proceeds support the Glenn House Capital Campaign, the Historical Association of Greater Cape Girardeau Inc., a tax-exempt not-for-profit corporation.
