Author to speak, host signing in Poplar Bluff

Author and former Federal Communications Commission chairman Al Sikes will give a short presentation on his book "Culture Leads, Leaders Follow," followed by a book signing from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sikeston Depot Museum, 116 W. Malone Ave. in Sikeston, Missouri.

Adult coloring provided at library

The Cape Girardeau Public Library is offering "Coloring for Grown Ups," a free opportunity for adults to relax and color from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 711 N. Clark Ave. in Cape Girardeau. The coloring pages are from books designed for adults, and colored pencils, markers and gel pens will be available for use. Attendees can bring their own supplies if they wish. Registration is required and can be done by calling Adult Services at (573) 334-5279, ext. 113, or emailing as@capelibrary.org.

Brahms Double Concerto scheduled

Brandon Christensen and Valentina Takhova will deliver solos during a Brahms Double Concerto at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Bedell Performance Hall at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus, 518 S. Fountain St. in Cape Girardeau. Tickets for the event are $16 and $19, or $3 for students with a valid Southeast ID, and are available for purchase at the River Campus box office or online at RiverCampusEvents.com. Percussion, steel drum performance set

A spring percussion ensemble and steel drum band performance will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Bedell Performance Hall at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus, 518 S.
