The annual Juried Student Exhibition, showcasing the talents of Southeast Missouri State University's Department of Art students, will be on display from April 4 to 27 at the Crisp Museum on the River Campus. The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri's Saturday Social from 1 to 3 p.m. April 5 will feature a special meet-and-greet with the residents of Chateau Girardeau. On display at all three of the council's galleries at 32 N. Main St. will be the 12th annual Visual Arts Cooperative Exhibit, showcasing the talents of 50 local artists, all of whom are members of the Visual Arts Cooperative. Paul Schnare, owner of Sunny Hill Gardens & Florist and local gardening columnist for the Southeast Missourian, will present a program titled "Thinking Inside the Box" in the Geraldine Hirsch Room of the Cape Girardeau Public Library from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 10. "Refashion Your Vintage Jewelry" will be presented from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 29 in the Oscar Hirsch Room of the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Claire Bruce will show ways to refashion old jewelry. Those attending are asked to bring old jewelry that can be repurposed.
Kelly Hughes of Open Window Studio will teach students in grades four through seven how to draw clothing designs when she presents "Studio Art Adventures" at 1 p.m. April 26 at the Cape Girardeau Public Library.
