Old Town Cape has announced the lineup of the annual summer concert series Tunes at Twilight. The artists range from popular repeats like The Cantrells to local acts like Surtsey to new ones like Doug MacLeod, who starts the series May 14. Each concert during the first series will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Fridays from May 14 to June 18. Concerts in the second series will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Fridays from Aug. 13 to Sept. 10. Cape Bible Chapel will host a Hope for Haiti Benefit Concert featuring music by the Fallen and Ryan Corn. A group of six volunteers have returned from relief and mission work in Haiti and will give a presentation about their experience. The benefit will be at 7 p.m. March 26 at Cape Bible Chapel. The group planning a Battle of the Bands over the Fourth of July weekend has extended the deadline for bands to apply. The battle will pit two bands against each other and the winner stays onstage until they get voted off. The winner receives a $5,000 prize. The two-day battle will be from 3 to 11 p.m. July 2 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 3 in the Arena Building. Entry fee for each band is $100. The new entry deadline is May 15.
