Tickets available for TRCC 'Legends' concert

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Tickets are still available for "Legends of Yesterday," a concert featuring tributes to The Beatles, the Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly, set for 8 p.m. Saturday at the Tinnin Fine Arts Center at Three Rivers Community College. The concert features four Las Vegas-based musicians who take on the personas of the Fab Four, Don and Phil Everly, and Buddy Holly. In fact, the group performs the only Everly Brothers tribute being done in America. The show includes such rock classics as "Bye Bye Love," "Wake Up Little Suzie," "That'll Be The Day" and "Peggy Sue," not to mention Beatles tunes like "Can't Buy Me Love" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand." Local Lewis and Clark chapter chartered

A local chapter of the national Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation, the George Drouillard Chapter, has been founded in Cape Girardeau with approximately 25 members. Both genders play roles in 'Odd Couple' show

The drama club at Central High School, known as Red Dagger, will be presenting Neil Simon's famous work "The Odd Couple" starting Wednesday and running through March 19. Two versions of the production will be presented, with a female version on Wednesday and March 18 and the male version on Thursday and March 19.

Central Methodist band to play Sunday in Cape

The Central Methodist University Concert Band from Fayette, Mo., will play in Cape Girardeau on Sunday as part of its tour of eastern Missouri. The band will play during the 8:45 and 11 a.m. worship services Sunday at Centenary United Methodist Church and at 7 p.m. at the Poplar Bluff United Methodist Church.

Concert to benefit Kenny Rogers center Saturday

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Musician Hunter Moore will be the featured performer Saturday at a benefit concert in Sikeston for the Kenny Rogers Children's Center. The concert begins at 7 p.m., with musical performances by a variety of local musicians. The concert will be held at the St. Francis Xavier gymnasium in downtown Sikeston. Wind symphony performs March 23 at Southeast

The Southeast Wind Symphony, under the direction of Barry Bernhardt, will present its first spring concert March 23 at 8 p.m. in Academic Auditorium on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. The concert will include a wide variety of new and old literature for wind instruments from the music of Vaughn Williams and Strauss, to the music of Barber and Wilson. It also will include a new fanfare and a march by British composer David Fanshawe, who was on campus last spring to conduct the orchestra in concert. Cape artist featured at Shawnee College

ANNA, Ill. -- Cape Girardeau artist Anita Dickerson is a featured artist throughout the month of March at the Anna campus of Shawnee Community College. Paducah to hold Second Saturday walk

PADUCAH, Ky. -- The Second Saturday Gallery and Studio Walk will begin this Saturday from 1 to 9 p.m. in Paducah. More than 20 venues are participating, with food, music and contemporary art available for viewing, listening and purchasing. The event will be held in the city's Lower Town Arts District.
