Auditions for "Faith County," River City Players' first production of the 2011 season, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Port Cape Girardeau. There will be roles for three men and six women. Lots of behind-the-scenes jobs will also be available. Andrea Shovan is the director.
Three Cape Girardeau School District orchestras will play with the Southeast Missouri Symphony in a performance of Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Concerto Grosso for Strings." The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bedell Performance Hall on the River Campus of Southeast Missouri State University. A total of 125 string players from Cape Girardeau Central Junior High School's eighth-grade orchestra and Cape Girardeau Central High School's freshman and high school orchestras will join about 30 players from the Southeast Missouri Symphony, part of the symphony's concert series. CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The second annual Zambian HIV/AIDS Partnership Benefit Concert and Silent Auction, featuring emma's revolution, will be March 5 at the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship, 105 N.
