Area high school dancers have the opportunity to participate in a free master dance class with members of the Department of Theatre and Dance at Southeast Missouri State University. The class will be from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 20 at the Academy of Dance Arts in Cape Girardeau and will include ballet barre, adagio/allegro and modern/jazz for beginning/intermediate level dancers. Concerning Lions, made up of local talent Brian Beise with Nathan Miller, Daniel Hallum, Jonathan Durham and Chase Gamble, recently put out a five-track EP titled "A Movement Back and Forth," available through iTunes and the band's MySpace page, www.myspace.com/concerninglionsmusic. Beise, whose parents' are members and employees at La Croix Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, will lead the worship service at the church Sunday. The band, currently based in Chattanooga, Tenn., plays indie folk with an occasional bout of rock.
