Cape First Remix Concert set

Cape First Church will host Christian musicians Derek Minor and Th'isl at 7 p.m. today at Cape First Church, 254 Silver Springs Road in Cape Girardeau.

Christmas Cantata scheduled

Westminster Presbyterian Church will host "Go Sing It On The Mountain," perfomed by the combined choirs of Westminster Presbyterian and Centenary United Methodist Church, at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at the church, 1820 Perryville Road in Cape Girardeau.

Christmas Dream Concert planned

CrossRoads Fellowship Church will present a contemporary Christmas concert with music and synchronized lights at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the church, 4400 E. Jackson Blvd. in Jackson. The event is free and open to the public.

Great Books discussion group set

Frank Nickell will host a book-discussion group from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Cape Girardeau Public Library, 711 N. Clark Ave. in Cape Girardeau.

Book signing to be held

Local author Cindy McDermott will have a book signing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 17 at The Book Rack, 50 S. Plaza Way in Cape Girardeau. Her book, titled "Working with Really Stupid People: The Executives," follows main character Jill Fontaine on another crazy adventure.
