Art gallery exhibit showcases SEMO seniors

Southeast Missouri State University emerging artists will be spotlighted at the annual Fall Bachelor of Fine Arts Graduating Seniors Exhibition Nov. 28 through Dec. 9 in the River Campus Art Gallery. The exhibition will have two parts, with the first half of the exhibition running from Nov. 28 through Dec. 2. The closing reception for this half of the exhibition will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 2 in the gallery. The second half of the showing will begin Dec. 5, and its closing reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 9. The BFA exhibitions are a culmination of years of the students' fine arts study. Holiday showcase set with Mike and Robyn

A Holiday Dinner Showcase with Mike and Robyn, featuring the musical talents of Mike Dumey and Robyn Hosp, will be presented Dec. 1, 2, 16 and 17 at the Show Me Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will start at 6 p.m. For more information, call 243-7775.

SEMO students perform in ‘Fall for Dance 2011'

Students in the Southeast Missouri State University Department of Theatre and Dance will be showcased in the biannual student dance recital, "Fall for Dance 2011," at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 2 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Bedell Performance Hall at the River Campus. The performance will showcase modern, tap, jazz and ballet dance. The concert will be presented with funding from the Missouri Arts Council.
