Cape West 14 Cine in Cape Girardeau is among Wehrenberg Theatres that will once again host the annual Cans Film Festival to benefit the Salvation Army's Tree of Lights campaign. On Dec. 3, guests who bring five canned food items to any Wehrenberg Theatre will receive free admission to any movie starting before 5 p.m. Guests who bring an additional 10 cans or more per person (15 or more total per person) will also receive a free movie pass for a future visit. In addition, Wehrenberg Theatres will again award a yearlong movie pass to the single largest donation received in the theater circuit. A number of Hollywood hits will be showcased during the festival, including "The Muppets," "Arthur Christmas (3D)," "Happy Feet Two (3D)" and "Hugo (3D)."
