Arts, crafts event set for two sites

The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will usher in the holidays with its 44th annual Arts and Crafts Extravaganza on Nov. 22 and 23 at the Osage Centre and the Show Me Center. Hours for the Nov. 22 show are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and hours for Nov. 23 will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show will feature more than 300 crafters, including many of the finest artisans from across the Midwest. Crafters will sell only handmade items. A Best of Show award will be given at both locations. One ticket is good for admission to both locations. Cost for admission for Saturday and Sunday is $5. Sunday admission is $3.

Art course work will be on display

Coursework produced by the Art Student Organizations United will be on display from Nov. 3 to 13 in the River Campus Art Gallery of Southeast Missouri State University. An reception will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 7. The work of three Department of Art student organizations will be displayed: the Art Guild, American Institute of Graphic Arts and Clay Club.
