Fellowship Baptist Church will host The Sowell Family Pickers from Hempstead, Texas, from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church, 430 Koch Ave. in Cape Girardeau. The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will host the second Red Light Night of this season at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Arts Council, 16 N. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau. The topic will be "The Word Made Sight" and will feature the Rev. Robert Towner, an Episcopal priest who has retired after 40 years as a church employee and 10 years as an adjunct teacher at Southeast Missouri State University in the Department of Philosophy, Religion and Political Science.
Cape Girardeau Central High School alumni and former staff are invited to apply for actor and technical staff positions for "The Actor's Nightmare," set to run Jan. 27 and 28.
