Author Kenny Sills will hold a book signing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Southeast Missouri State University bookstore, 388 Henderson Ave., for his new novel, "Tattoo: A Beautiful Sin." This is the first book in a trilogy. Sills is working on the second book in the series, which takes place in Cape Girardeau. In that novel, the killer uses the tunnels under the university campus to access various buildings.
Acting Out! will present "Night of the Living Dead" at 7 p.m. Oct. 16 and 17 at the band shell in Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau. Tickets for George A. Romero's frightening classic will be $5 at the door. The show includes audience interaction with zombies and other scary moments. Children younger than 13 should be accompanied by an adult.
