'Jaycee Follies' reunion open to public

As part of the "Jerry Ford's 50 Years of Music" exhibition, the Cape River Heritage Museum will host a public reception for the former crew of the "Jaycee Follies," a variety show group that spent two decades performing to raise money for community projects sponsored by the Cape Jaycees. Singers, dancers, cast and crew of "The Follies" will reunite at 6 p.m. Oct. 30 at the museum for entertainment, refreshments and more. Admission is $5. For more information, call 335-6459.

Artists' guild planning regional exhibit

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Members of the Poplar Bluff Artists' Guild and artists 18 and older living within 100 miles of Poplar Bluff are invited to submit art for the 56th annual Poplar Bluff Artists' Guild Regional Art Exhibit to be on display Nov. 1 to 30. Framed, wired, original works of art no more than 48 inches in any dimension and never before exhibited in Butler County will be accepted at the Margaret Harwell Art Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24.
