Singing Cantrells return to Cape for concert

The Cantrells will return to Cape Girardeau on Thursday for a second season of the Underberg House Concert Series. Already there have been 21 reservations for the concert, so seating is limited. To reserve a spot, call 334-7692. Recommended donation is $8 per person.

Tickets available for 'Music Man' performance

The Broadway musical "The Music Man" will hit the stage at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale's Shryock Auditorium Feb. 4. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. "The Music Man" features some classic songs from the show, which opened in 1957 on Broadway and won eight Tony awards. Tickets are available by calling (618) 453-2787.

Murder Mystery dinner theater set

The Cache River Basin Vineyard and Winery will host a murder mystery dinner theater performance Jan. 17. The show starts at 7 p.m., and guests can arrive at 6 p.m. Reservations must be made by Jan. 16. For information, please call (618) 658-2274.

Auditions for 'Vagina Monologues' set

Auditions for "The Vagina Monologues," a play by Eve Ensler will be held between 5 and 7 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. There will be three additional rehearsals and a performance Feb. 13. College students and community members are encouraged to audition. "The Vagina Monologues" is a collection of soliloquies that celebrate being a female and explain the horrors of violence against women. Comic farce to be presented

The comic production "Cash on Delivery" will be performed Jan. 22 through Feb. 7 at the Market House Theatre in Paducah, Ky. The show is about a man trying to stop his life of crime but every time he tries, more money falls in his lap.
