The Cape Girardeau Eagles Club will present a mystery dinner theater, "Murder in Mayberry," at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Eagles hall, 321 N. Spring St. The dinner will have country fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn and plenty of extras. All proceeds will assist the elderly in the Cape Girardeau area with their prescriptions. The Jackson Art Group, featuring artists' work that is appropriate for the entire family, is holding a logo contest open to anyone 18 or older. Mail entries to Steck House Gallery, 210 Washington St., Jackson MO 63755-1448, or drop them off at the gallery from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays before Feb. 26. Logo submissions should be 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Name, address and phone number must be on the back of the artwork. The winner will receive a free year's membership. Each month, a group member's work will be featured at the gallery. The winner will be announced at the Second Saturday opening March 12 and his or her work will be featured in March.
