Bollinger County Celebrates Fall Festival Weekend

The Bollinger County Fall Festival Weekend brings a wide variety of excitement and fun to the county. Visit Bollinger County for food, fun, sales, and to make wonderful memories with your family and friends at this exciting fun packed weekend.

Sept. 24, 25, 26 - We will be having some new entertainment this year at the annual Fall Festival. Carnival rides with H & H Amusement Thursday and Friday Night, and all day Saturday. The Parade starts Saturday at 9:00am Arm band night at the carnival will be Thursday and Friday night from 6pm-10pm.

The Fall Festival events lineup begins on Thursday night September 24 - get "All Shook Up" with Elvis Presley impersonator at the Elvis Show from 7pm-9pm at the Pavilion in Marble Hill Park.

Friday night, September 25 - gospel music with the Gipsons at the Pavilion from 7pm-9pm.

Saturday, September 26, from 5:00pm-8:00pm Classy Chassy Country Bluegrass group performing for your pleasure.

Saturday, September 26 from 11:30-1:00pm - Chicken & Dumplings at the Senior Citizen Nutrition Center.

Saturday, September 26 from 12:00pm - Kiddie Tractor Pull for ages 4-9. Preregistration at 11:30 at Pavilion

Saturday, September 26 from 2:00-5:00 - Parker & Pals Karaoke will be hosting a karaoke contest. Prizes of 1st-$75.00, 2nd-$50.00 and 3rd-$25.00.

Saturday, September 26 from 9:00am-2:00pm - Historic Wicecarver Store open. Visit to enjoy items on display from a simpler time.

Sept. 24, 25, 26, 27 - The Bollinger County Museum of Natural History in Marble Hill, MO will be open extended hours for the Bollinger County Fall Festival. Hours on Saturday, September 26 will be from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and hours on Sunday, September 27 will be 12:00PM to 4:30PM.

The museum will be open our regular hours of 12PM-4:30PM on Thursday, September 24 and Friday, September 25.

Activities on Saturday, September 26 include a Disney dinosaur scavenger hunt, the Disney animated movie "Dinosaur" and the Disney Duck Tales cartoon feature "The Dinosaur Ducks" will be showing in the children's play and discover area starting at 11:00AM, dinosaur arts and crafts ongoing during the day, and much more!

Visitors may take part in the scavenger hunt from the hours of 10am-4:00pm. Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet and search for the matching dinosaurs as you tour the museum. Turn in your completed sheet and collect a prize from the Treasure Chest.

Brian Phillips will be here to help our visitors create a clay dinosaur model of your favorite Disney dinosaur or other character at 2pm on September 26.

On Saturday, September 26 the museum will participate in Smithsonian Museum Day Live 2015. You may obtain free admission for two people on this date by bringing in your printed Smithsonian Museum Day Live ticket. Print your ticket for Free admission for two at http://www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/

Regular admission will apply for those without a printed Smithsonian Museum Day ticket.

Sept. 26 - The Marble Hill Senior Center will be serving up their annual Chicken & Dumpling Dinner with all the trimming from 11:30a.m.-1:30p.m. Stop by 505 Third Street in Marble Hill to enjoy a great meal at a great price!

Sept. 26 - Patton Lions Club Lawnmower Racing will get your engines revving on Saturday, September 26. Gates open at 4:00pm. The excitement starts with time trials at 5:00pm and the main races at 6:00pm. Bring your whole family for an evening of racing for only $5 a car to watch the races. Food and refreshments are available. No coolers or alcohol please. The event takes place at the Patton Saddle Club and is sponsored by Patton Lions Club. Proceeds will be used for youth programs, vision services, and community emergency needs.

Sept. 26 - The Mayfield Cultural Center Fall Festival Bake Sale & Chili Fundraiser - Satisfy more than your sweet tooth at this charity dining event at the Mayfield Cultural Center. There will be cakes and pies, loaves and cookies and much more on Saturday September 26th at 11 a.m. In conjunction with the bake sale the annual Fall Festival Chili Fundraiser will also be served in the historic Will Mayfield College Chapel. Enjoy delicious homemade chili with all the fixins' including iced tea or lemonade plus dessert for $10, prepared by the Mayfield Cafe. Our bake sale will feature a huge selection of mouth-watering bakery goods and treats. All proceeds benefit the Mayfield Cultural Center, located at 209 Mayfield Drive, next to the Museum of Natural History in Marble Hill.

Tickets are available at the door for the Chili Fundraiser, $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Proceeds will help with programming and operations for the fall and for the upkeep of the old schoolhouse, chapel and grounds that house the Cultural Center. The Will Mayfield Heritage Foundation, a 501(c)3 non profit, provides maintenance of the two remaining academic buildings that house the cultural center and the history museum for free.

Sept. 26 - The Bollinger County Eagles Aeries 4473 will be having a Fall Fest BBQ on our Parking lot starting at 9am, Saturday, September 26. We will be serving up Pork steak & Hamburger Plates, & Hot Dogs. You can enjoy your meal right then with outside and inside seating available; or we can make them up To Go for you. The Eagles Aerie is located at 104 Sample Street in Marble Hill, MO.100 percent of all proceeds will be going to support the Bollinger County Veterans Memorial Wall. Stop by and get some great BBQ from the pit master Bill, and help us support a great organization in our community.

Sept. 26-27 - Cat Ranch Fall Round Up and Rendezvous on September 26 & 27. Saturday, September 26 hours: 9AM to 5PM and Sunday, September 27 10AM-5PM with outdoor church 9AM-10AM. Community Art Show, music, artists, craft vendors, food, demonstrations, Rendezvous camps, and storytelling. Free admission and parking.

Something for everyone! From our fine arts to good food, everything will be a learning experience! Some of the exciting things to be offered: Arts and Demonstrations...Paintings, Drawings, Jewelry, Woodworking, Weaving, Spinning, Stained Glass, Face Painting, Book Signings by area authors, Goat Milk Soap, Sand Casting, Tom's Studio and gravesite will be open for tours. Blacksmithing, encampment with demonstrations of hawk & knife throwing, shooting range, cannons, kids games and candy cannon, and much more. Community Art Show will be held in the basement of the Cat Ranch Cabin. Pre-1840 Rendezvous encampments by Cat Ranch VOO and Lucky Clover. Sept. 26 - 15th Annual Gospel Fest at the Beal Farm at Arab, MO will begin at 11am. Singers will include: Pastor Brad Moore, Ringer Hill, Jordan's Tide, Bollinger County Gospel Strings, The Lemon Drops, The McAtees, Pumpkin River, Ozark Foothills, Blue Bird Music, The Richmond Quartet, and Cabin Fever. Bring your lawn chairs and let's sing! Refreshments will be available. No Alcohol or Pets Please.

Sept. 26 - Annual Harvest Festival of Reagan's Chapel United Methodist Church. Saturday September 26. From 3:00 to 6:15 p.m. dinner with kettle beef, fried chicken, chicken-n- dumplings and much more will be served. Starting at 7 p.m. auction of quilts and other handcrafts, produce and other items will be held. Proceeds help support missions and other Church programs. Church is located approximately 3 1/2 miles north of Patton Junction. Take highway 51 north.

Turn west on Route NN, Then follow signs to the Church.

Sept. 26 - Historic Wicecarver Store in Marble Hill, across from the court house, open from 8am-2pm. Quilt show, showcase displays, bake sale and more!

Sept. 26 - Massey Log House in Marble Hill is open to visitors from 10:00am-2:00pm on Saturday, September 26. The Massey Log House is a great place to experience everyday life from the 1800s. The Massey Log House, built circa 1869, is a four-pen structure with full porches and is a good example of "dog trot" and "V" notched log house. It is filled with many historical items of everyday life from the 1800 era.

Sept. 27 - The Annual Fall Chicken Dinner will be held at Sedgewickville Lutheran Church, located at the corner of highways K & WW, on Sunday, September 27 from 11am-2pm. The menu includes fried chicken, potato salad, green beans, corn, slaw, dessert, and drink.
