Wischmann to Speak on Importance of Tourism at Chamber Meeting

Please join us at the Bollinger County Chamber of Commerce meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2015.

Patricia Wischmann will speak about the importance of tourism. Everyone is invited to attend the chamber meeting at 12:00pm (noon) at the Marble Hill Senior Nutrition Center located at 505 3rd St. in Marble Hill.

Ms. Wischmann currently is a Global Wellness Consultant with TLC Wellness Center in Jackson, MO and has a long history of experience working in tourism.

Ms. Wischmann's experience includes:

Past Member and officer of Friends of Steam Railroading, a support group for the St. Louis Iron Mountain train doing travel and trade shows throughout Missouri, she worked with charter bus tours and travel agencies representing the train and Trisha's Bed and Breakfast for 23 years; Trisha's was the first bed-and-breakfast in southeast Missouri, and the various Historic and visitor sites throughout southeast Missouri.

Trish served on a panel promoting inns throughout western Kentucky and Tennessee, southern Illinois, and southeast Missouri and participated in and promoted the 'Spirit of Hospitality' course given by the Paducah Career and Technological Institute. She was a volunteer step-on tour guide with the Cape Girardeau convention and visitors Bureau and their marketing agent and employee for Cape Girardeau.

Trish served as board member and past president of BBIM, which is the Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri promoting bed-and-breakfasts throughout the state through advertising, education, events, and promotions.

She is a past member of PIA, Professional Innkeepers of America, a national inn keeping association and served on the formulation committee for the Mississippi River Valley Scenic Drive, has cooperated with the Missouri Division of Tourism with various projects throughout the years, is a past member of Jackson Chamber of Commerce tourism committee and a current member and past president of Jackson Heritage Association.

Members and nonmembers from Bollinger County and all surrounding counties are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting.
