What is the most important issue facing the Kelly School District? What can be done about it?

The turnover of faculty. In my high school years at kelly i remember how good it felt to see the same teachers in grade school that i had as a child. Moving financial importance around to keep the current faculty and reward those teachers and coaches for what they are doing for our childrens future. Resulting in retaining the faculty who truly pour their hearts into our children

What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office?

in my 21 years in the automotive field i have been involved in setting goals and forecasts,balancing budgets, and cutting unecessary spending. most important moving spending to where it was needed most! i have four children currently attending kelly enabling me to see the day to day problems facing our district including the sports curriculum

Where do you stand on the issue of Common Core standards?

In todays economy 80 percent of skilled jobs require some form of college or training beyond high school. i think it will establish consistent learning goals for all students and better prepar them a clearer roadmap for college curriculum and to be successful in life. being a smaller district its also to our advantage to establish consistent learning goals the same no matter the size of the district

Do you think the Kelly School District is a good place for teachers to work? Why or why not?

i do because it is a small school where you can get to know your students as well as the parents and give more one on one with the students as well. When elected i want to see more teachers and coaches reach retirement age still employed by our district
