David and Jerri Coleman's photos for national MAD MEN contest

When David Coleman saw there was a photo contest for the Emmy-award winning television series MAD MEN, he knew he and his wife Jerri would have to enter. After all, the show has been the couple's favorite program for the past two years. "We started watching it because the lead character has the same job as I do, a Creative Director at an ad agency," said David Coleman.

The photo contest, sponsored by Banana Republic stores, calls for entrants to place themselves in scenarios typical of those found on the show -- life in the mid 1960s. "We really focused in on our wardrobe, researching styles of the era," said Jerri Coleman. "After that, we combed local antique stores and eBay searching for just the right outfit."

The public will choose the top 20 semi-finalists, and then the show's creator and executive producer, Matthew Weiner, will choose the final winner. "Most of our competitors are professional actors from New York and Los Angeles, so I think it would be great for us to give them a run for their money," said David Coleman. "We would really appreciate everyone's vote."
