To the editor: I remember the old soldier on the pedestal of the Common Pleas Courthouse fountain well. I splashed in the water of the fountain when I was a child. It was not supposed to be done, but we did it, and no one objected. The only problem was getting out. Someone had to be around. I'm glad there will be a new old soldier...
