Catholic Schools Week at Guardian Angel School, Oran, Missouri

Game 1 of House Game Day was "Do you want to build a Snowman?". Pictured is Colton Uhrhan, the finished snowman from St. Michael's group.

What a great Catholic Schools Week was held at Guardian Angel School in Oran, Missouri! The week ran from Sunday, Jan. 31, to Friday, Feb. 5. The entire school celebrated Mass together on Sunday, with the students having special parts of the Mass and the children's choir leading everyone in singing beautifully. Monday had everyone wearing pajamas to school and the teachers cooking breakfast for the students, staff and volunteers. We had house color and house games day on Tuesday, with 100 percent participation of wearing house colors. Everyone enjoyed playing a game competition between the archangel houses. On Wednesday, we welcomed the parents and grandparents to a special chili and cinnamon roll meal. After our 3rd and 4th grade class Mass on Thursday, everyone in church was invited to join the students for several games of bingo. Father Glenn Eftink joined Father Randy for the Mass, and told the students what Guardian Angel School was like when he was a student there. The week ended with the students, accompanied by their teachers, going to West Park Lanes in Cape Girardeau for some bowling and then returning to school to be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.

We had a full house in the cafeteria for the chili and cinnamon roll meal.
Everyone enjoyed several games of bingo.
