The Delta Challenge

The Delta Regional Authority and the Missouri Innovation Corporation at Southeast Missouri State University are partnering to bring the Delta Challenge to Cape Girardeau! The Delta Entrepreneurship Network aims to identify, nurture, and support entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship support organizations in the DRA region. The pilot program of this network is the Entrepreneurship Network Fellowship. This fellowship, in partnership with The Idea Village in New Orleans, LA, looks to identify up to 16 entrepreneurs and 16 entrepreneurship support organizations to participate in a special segment of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) March 24-27, 2015. Please see below for more information on the applications processes. Additional information is available on our website at www.dra.gov/entrepreneur

Up to 16 entrepreneurs will be identified through five pitch competitions held throughout the region, the first being held in Cape Girardeau at Isle Casino on February 24th beginning at 6 pm. Three entrepreneurs will be identified from each competition as fellows. Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to showcase their ideas to a panel of investors at NOEW, connect to support organizations, and attend programmatic seminars. Only those entrepreneurs that live or work in the 252 counties or parishes of the DRA will be eligible.
