Cape Central's Wind Symphony and Jazz One Band earn multiple awards

Cape Central High School Wind Symphony and Jazz One band competed at the Heritage Festivals of Music in Chicago this past weekend. CHS Wind Symphony earned Silver and tied for 1st place in class 3A school division. CHS Jazz One Band received the Gold, Outstanding Band Award (which is the highest scoring band), and Adjudicator's Award (which is the judges favorite band). Together they won the highest combined score of any two bands from the same school district to receive the Instrumental Sweepstakes Trophy.
