Discovery Playhouse Receives Donation

The Discovery Playhouse has a cooler space for children to play thanks to a $5,000 donation from the Cape Noon Optimist Club. Noon Optimist Club President Wendell Mueller presented a check to Discovery Playhouse's Executive Director Pansy Glenn.

"This donation will allow the Playhouse to purchase a much-needed air conditioner compressor and outside awnings for the main floor of the facility," said Glenn. "The awnings were needed to shade the large windows in the front from the hot sun. The compressor has already been installed and has made a huge difference in our air conditioning system."

Discovery Playhouse is a not-for-profit children's museum located in downtown Cape Girardeau, MO, featuring over 7,500 square feet of exhibit space to play and learn.
