MARCH 29, 1988
"Transportation on the River" is the theme of the 85-foot-long, 10-foot high mural that Jackson artist Craig Thomas is painting on the walls of Washington School in Cape Girardeau. The mural, which is a view of Cape Girardeau including several boats on the Mississippi and the river bridge, is funded through the elementary school's PTA and Centerre Bank, Washington School's Adopt-a-School partner.
