Southeast was recognized for reaching bronze level status in blood donations. SoutheastHEALTH hosted five Red Cross blood drives in 2013, collecting a total of 186 pints of blood.

Red Cross officials say that each pint of blood has the potential to be used in the treatment of three people. As a result, nearly 560 patients may have benefited from Southeast's blood drives.

Caswell says Southeast has showed "true concern and support for area patients by hosting blood drives." He adds, "The American Red Cross is honored to partner with SoutheastHEALTH."
