A "feel good" flash mob danced in the parking lot of the Southeast Cancer Center on Friday afternoon, March 14, to bring a little cheer to patients undergoing infusion therapy. The "mob" consisted of dance students from Southeast Missouri State University.
Cancer patient Kevin Hand, who has been undergoing chemotherapy for the past three months, came up with the idea. After several four- to five-hour treatments, he thought it would be nice to liven up the view outside the windows of the infusion bays.
With the help of Dr. Marc Strauss from Southeast's Theatre and Dance Department and the choreography of University Dancers United, the view of a parking lot was transformed into an all-out dance show.
