William Todd Naeter, 44, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, in Seabrook, Texas.
Todd was born April 2, 1978, to Chris and Debbie Naeter.
Todd was a native of Cape Girardeau County and lived there most of his life. He was a 1996 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. He most recently worked for Optum and lived in Jackson with his family.
He was a loving husband and is survived by his wife and partner for 20 years, Celeste Myers of Jackson; their daughter, Nadia Sedare Myers of Jackson; his mother, Debbie Naeter of Cape Girardeau; twin brother, Travis (Angie) Naeter of Spring Hill, Tennessee; brother, Shawn (Regina) Naeter of Dallas; and sister, Melissa (Mark) DeLong of Franklin, Tennessee. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Trenten (Destiny) Stroder of Jackson, Chase Naeter of Dallas, Sofia Naeter of Dallas, Lanie Naeter of Spring Hill, Lily Naeter of Spring Hill, Patrick Robins of Spring Hill, Emily Robins of Spring Hill and Owen Demarco of Austin, Texas; and loving parents-in-law, Bill and Greta Myers of Willow Springs, Missouri.
He was predeceased by his father, Chris Naeter of Cape Girardeau.
Todd loved the outdoors and taking care of his and his family's pets. His many friends and family will miss camping, floating Missouri rivers and fishing with him. He was a rock hound and coin collector, loved playing soccer and was always up for a new adventure. Everyone who knew him will incredibly miss his laugh and his easygoing manner.
Todd was a father figure to a number of children who didn't have a regular man in their lives. He filled that role and loved it. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to stop what he was doing to help anyone because his heart told him it was the right thing to do.
Celeste and Todd would like to thank the staff and professionals at M.D. Anderson and their old and new friends for their care and support the past year and a half.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at the funeral home, with Wavis Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Old Goshen Cemetery near Oak Ridge.
