Career & Tech Nursing Program perfect pass rate

The 2010 Practical Nursing Graduates from the Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center (CTC) have attained a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) for the second straight year. The practical nursing program has two options---one-year day classes or two-year evening classes---with both having 1350 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience. This course of study has been a part of the Career and Technology program for the past 37 years. There have been 745 graduates with an overall pass rate of 98.3% on the NCLEX-PN. Nurses educated by this program provide nursing care in a variety of health care settings in our community.
