Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson was the setting Jan. 4, 2003, for the wedding of Erin Michelle Wiedefeld and Michael Robert Lappe. Msgr. Edward Eftink performed the ceremony. Organist was Geri Beussink of Jackson and soloist was Laura Eftink of Gordonville, cousin of the bride. Mass servers were Andrew and Ashlynne Shrum of Jackson, cousins of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Raymond Wiedefeld of Gordonville and Beverly Wiedefeld of Jackson. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lappe of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Sunny Adams of Millersville. Bridesmaids were Whitney Conklin of Jackson and Heather Smith of Hartsburg, Mo., sisters of the bride, and Amy Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom.
Bradley Lappe of Cape Girardeau served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Darren Scherer of Cape Girardeau, Danny Showmaker of Ullin, Ill., and Tim Showmaker of McClure, Ill. Ushers were Rodney Eftink and Ryan Davie of Gordonville, cousins of the bride; John Glueck and Kevin Lappe of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the groom.
Candlelighters were mothers of the bride and groom.
Flower girl was Isabelle Smith, daughter of Casey and Heather Smith and niece of the bride.
Guest book and program attendants were Laura Eftink, Katy Eftink and Sara Davie, all of Gordonville and cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Cape Girardeau.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Jan. 3 at the KC Hall.
Mrs. Lappe is a graduate of Jackson High School. She is employed at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Jackson.
The groom is a graduate of Central High School. He is employed at TG Missouri Corp. in Perryville, Mo.
The couple is residing in Jackson.
