Whitney Jean Werner and Adam Gregory Embick exchanged vows Sept. 27, 2008, at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson. The Rev Samuel Roethemeyer performed the ceremony. Music was by Robyn Hosp of Jackson.
Parents of the couple are Randy and Connie Werner of Jackson, and Gregory and Pamela Embick of Collinsville, Ill.
Maid of honor was Kylie Werner, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kristen Howard, Ashley Dost and Danielle Nussbaum, all of Jackson, and Alyssa Embick of Collinsville, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaids were Mallory Proffer of Wildwood, Mo., Ali Janet of Cape Girardeau, and Dakota Werner of Jackson, cousins of the bride.
The groom chose his brother, Kyle Embick of Collinsville, as best man. Groomsmen were Steven Boswell of Kirkwood, Mo., Sean Kennedy of Columbia, Ill., Cory Wilson of Collinsville; and Tanner Werner of Jackson, brother of the bride. Ushers were Jeremy Heinlein of Kirkwood and Nathan Trexler of Webster Groves, Mo.
Candlelighters were Taylor Janet and Baliegh Proffer, cousins of the bride. Taylor is the daughter of Robert and Beth Janet of Cape Girardeau. Baliegh is the daughter of Kent and Peggy Proffer of Wildwood.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Kerith and Owen Pritchett, children of Scott and Courtney Pritchett of Collinsville, cousins of the groom.
The reception was held at Deerfield Lodge.
The rehearsal dinner was held Sept. 26 at Kimbeland Country Club.
Mrs. Embick received a master's degree in physical therapy. She is employed at Rehabcare Group.
The groom received a math modeling degree. He is employed by Healthmark Medical.
The couple is residing in Kirkwood.
