Lori Jo Wendel and Allan James Owens were married April 20, 2002, at the home of the bride's parents. Randy Abernathy performed the ceremony. Soloist and guitarist was Todd Mayberry of Advance, Mo.

The bride is the daughter of David W. and Janel S. Wendel of Jackson. The groom is the son of Gerald F. and Shirley J. Owens of Advance.

Matron of honor was Amy R. Schaefer of Clarksville, Tenn., sister of the bride.

The groom chose his father as best man.

Candlelighters were Ashley Woodfin and Sarah Sebastian. Ashley is the daughter of Todd and Cheryl Woodfin of Advance and niece of the groom. Sarah is the daughter of the late Dennis Sebastian of Salt Lake City, Utah, and cousin of the bride.

Flower girl was Julia Schaefer, daughter of Chris and Amy Schaefer and niece of the bride. Ringbearers were Joshua Schaefer and Grant Woodfin. Joshua is the son of Chris and Amy Schaefer and nephew of the bride. Grant is the son of Todd and Cheryl Woodfin and nephew of the groom.

Ashley Woodfin attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Route 25 Banquet Hall in Jackson. Servers were Cheryl Woodfin, Carmen Cox and Holly Statler.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 19 at Drury Lodge.

Mrs. Owens received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in 1995. She is employed at Doctors Park Surgery Inc.

The groom received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from College of the Ozarks in 1995. He is employed at Procter & Gamble.

The couple is residing in Jackson.
