Abigail Lauren Weinrich and Jason David Cheney were married Sept. 28, 2013, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo. The Rev. Dennis Ryan performed the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Kenny and Carol Weinrich of Jackson and David and Donna Cheney of Gladstone, Mo.
Maid of honor was Jessica Bieg of St. Louis.
Bridesmaids were Laura Coggins of St. Louis and Stephanie Richardet of Imperial, Mo., cousins of the bride; Erin Crow of Chicago; and Jacqueline Richardet of Perryville, Mo., cousin of the bride.
Eric Cheney of Kansas City was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Cheney of Kansas City and Josh Cheney of Salina, Kan., brothers of the groom; Melinda Cheney and Steve Cheney of Kansas City, cousins of the groom. Ushers were Chase Richardet of Imperial, cousin of the bride, and Bret Little of Kansas City, cousin of the groom.
The reception was held at Drexel Hall in Kansas City.
The rehearsal dinner was held Sept. 27 at Chappell Restaurant and Sports Museum in Kansas City.
Mrs. Cheney is a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School, 2008 graduate of Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, Calif., and 2009 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is assistant manager of the Hallmark Store in Leawood, Kan.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Oak Park High School and 2011 graduate of Penn Valley Community College, both in Kansas City, and 2013 graduate of Kansas City Police Academy. He is a deputy with Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Lee's Summit, Mo.
